Brian Sparks, who’s at the moment shorting Tesla inventory, based on CNBC, submitted the petition in September.

“Over the previous a number of years, we mentioned with NHTSA nearly all of the complaints alleged within the petition. In each case we reviewed with them, the information proved the automobile functioned correctly,” Tesla mentioned in a weblog put up.

A spokesman for NHTSA on Monday declined to touch upon Tesla’s assertion. The company mentioned final week it “will fastidiously evaluate the petition and related knowledge.”
