(Reuters) – Common video app TikTok stated on Thursday it had partnered with Merlin, bringing its customers a wider selection of music from the labels and distributors related to the digital rights firm.
TikTok, owned by Chinese language tech firm ByteDance, permits customers to create and share brief movies with particular results, and is vastly widespread in Southeast Asia, together with India.
Merlin is a UK-based nonprofit group that negotiates with the likes of Spotify SA, Fb Inc-owned Instagram and Alphabet Inc’s YouTube Music, on behalf of greater than 20,000 impartial report labels and distributors and handles routing funds.
(This story corrects firm title to “Merlin” from “Merlin Networks” in headline, paragraph 1 and a couple of)
