The joint letter, despatched by PHD Chamber of Commerce and Business (PHDCCI), has sought the PM’s intervention for clean motion of all meals and drinks, agri-products and packaging materials to keep away from scarcity and pointless panic amongst shoppers. ET has accessed a duplicate of the letter.

The letter, addressed on to the PM, has sought exemption from manufacturing and motion restrictions for all meals, contemporary fruits, greens, milk and meat, agri-produce, seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, soil testing gear, irrigation gear and uncooked materials for processed meals and beverage manufacturing and their distribution and that these be handled as important commodities.
“Firms and workers concerned in manufacture, processing, distribution, logistics of those talked about gadgets should be exempted from any central or state declaration of labor and motion restrictions. This exemption can also be required for elements and packaging supplies,” the letter provides.
