Why Dev Anand Was Furious with an Abhishek Bachchan Movie – Blast from the Previous

In his movie about drug sellers in Goa Dum Maro Dum in 2011 Rohan Sippy had desecrated the Asha Bhosle-R D Burman basic Dum maro dum from Dev Anand’s 1971  movie Hare Rama  Hare Krishna by altering the voice, beats and even the lyrics. The brand new model contained gems like, “Aaj mere liye chair kheech raha hai kal meri skirt kheechenga…Unchese uncha banda potty pe baitha nanga.”

As Deepika Padukone (in a visitor look)  slithered to the track immortalized by Zeenat Aman , the phrase she sang Aaj deel chod raha hai, kal khudi rokega Aaj mere liye chair kheech raha hai, kal meri skirt kheechega made Dev Anand see pink. This was the one time I noticed him offended.

“The least they may’ve achieved  was  to ask my  permission earlier than utilizing my track,” Dev Saab fumed at director Rohan Sippy and music composer Pritam who was accountable for the atrocity. Nobody had bothered to ask Asha Bhosle who sang the unique Dum maro dum or Dev Anand from whose movie Hare Rama Hare Krishna the track was taken, what they felt in regards to the new-rage model of their anthem track from the 1970s. Anand Bakshi who wrote the unique Dum maro dum and R D Burman whose composed the tune will need to have been completely satisfied to be lifeless.

The unique track

And the remix

It made Dev Anand (God bless his harmless soul) very upset. For the primary time in his  70-year profession Dev Saab threatened  to sue. I knew he wouldn’t he.He was too soft-hearted to get into an unsightly squabble with anybody. However even  right now I really feel offended after I  bear in mind how insulted Dev Saab felt at  being bypassed by a filmmaker who  knew nothing about respecting cinematic  historical past.
