WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Federal Communications Fee Chairman Ajit Pai on Thursday circulated a draft order asking the five-member panel to approve Ligado Networks’ request to deploy a low-power nationwide community to assist subsequent era 5G wi-fi.
Ligado’s plan has come underneath criticism from some Trump administration businesses and a few highly effective lawmakers. On Wednesday, the chairman of the Senate Armed Providers Committee and the panel’s high Democrat requested President Donald Trump to stop the FCC from permitting Ligado to maneuver ahead, saying it should intervene with International Positioning System reception. Pai stated he’s “satisfied that the circumstances outlined on this draft order would allow Ligado to maneuver ahead with out inflicting dangerous interference.”
